Now even larger, and made from high quality, food grade silicone, your moulds will bring you joy in your creations for years to come. Originally from a higher altitude in Central and Southeast Asia, and all the way to Australia, the standard Cymbidium enjoys a cool climate and strong light with partial shaded conditions. But the smaller-flowered terrestrial and tropical species live in different environments, so even if you do not have perfect Southern California weather, you can still grow these beauties. Let me tell you a little bit more about the different types of Cymbidium. Having our house remodeled and needed a gate and some lattice work made and installed before the house gets stuccoed. Mr. Reyes is a very honest and wonderful person to work with.

Iron Orchid Designs - Mould - Primitive

I had a design done and got a good quote from Carlos. His team came and did a mockup on site and then went back to the shop to do the work. I stopped by the shop a couple times to see progress. I will use them again for any iron/metal work around the house. Decor Stamps - IOD décor stamps aren’t just for furniture and home décor, you can use them to transform your food art as well! The stamps are made from a food safe material (do not use the same sets for food and paint ;)).

World’s finest diy products crafted especially for upcyclers and makers.

Bas van Eijk and Alison Glasco went on their first date in 2013 upon his arrival in the United States. The homegrown farmer and Los Angeles native shared a romance that quickly blossomed into a happy marriage, and their shared interests sparked a dream that they could achieve together–Cal Coast Orchids. With Bas’s extensive background in horticulture and Alison’s landscaping experience and schooling in the sciences, the couple was well-prepared to begin.

NEW Paint Inlays - not a transfer, not decoupage, not a stamp. These are artesian paint designs imbedded on a carrier sheet and transfer onto wet paint giving a hand crafted quality. If that wasn’t cool enough, the image can be used over and over until all the paint has been transferred. As always IOD did not disappoint with the new Spring release, all the products are AMAZING!!! I purchased my IOD products online, all the moulds, all the stamps and the transfers, and they are wonderful!! The ladies at the Owl Box so nicely put them together and I picked them up at my convenience.

Envision lamps and small furniture pieces adorned with these transfers, each enhanced by delicate mouldings, exuding a feminine and romantic vibe. Lover of Flowers is here, a darling transfer collection blending vintage poetry with timeless florals. Sally unearthed these gems in an old poetry book titled "Lover of Flowers," falling for the classic allure of forget-me-nots and roses intertwined with beautiful typography that’s an ode to nature. Try something unconventional with Joie Des Roses.

With a mom who dragged them to roadside junk piles and hole in the wall thrift stores, Josie Celio and Sally Griswold grew to love all things vintage and DIY, long before it was trendy.

LEGO 71046 Collectable Minifigures Series 26 Space review

design your own lego minifigure

Vast variety of parts and a sleak interactvie designer for you to design a character personalised by you.

LEGO Minifigure Headphones Around Neck, Lime Green

As just the latest way for builders to craft their own characters, the new online LEGO Minifigure Factory experience is finally here. The Insectoids are just humanoid aliens who have disguised their ships as bugs to blend in on an alien world. The characters themselves are not bug-like at all and putting their logo or something on an actual bug would just be a cheap reference for the sake of a reference. The Galaxy Squad angle is much more appropriate for that figure.

Our Friends at LEGO wish us to tell you…

design your own lego minifigure

The printed bolts are welcome and continue onto the arms and the head, with the latter encased in a spherical trans-bright green helmet. This component distorts the head underneath, giving the Robot Butler a completely unique appearance. By contrast, the Flying Saucer Costume Fan lacks any accessories, but his unique headgear more than makes up for that. A neck attachment is ingeniously used as the actual flying saucer, with a trans-clear 2x2x2 dome on top, so the minifigure's head forms the alien riding inside!

LEGO Minifigure Part - Head, Glasses Rectangular, Gray Eyebrows and Moustache [3626cpr1964] 6153321

Like the Imposter, I think this is a fantastic idea for a figure and the execution has proven equally impressive. As his name suggests, this character specialises in lifting heavy objects, alluding to the many magnetic cranes found in M-Tron sets. He therefore wears a large backpack with an attached claw, linked by a new flexible cable. This component seems relatively specialised, but could be ideal for adding mechanical detail and it looks fantastic with this minifigure. Of course, this series also presents homages to some notable Space subthemes from LEGO history, continuing a trend across various recent series of Collectable Minifigures. M-Tron, Ice Planet 2002 and Blacktron II are all represented, alongside a selection of original characters and those inspired by space archetypes.

The variety of new printed elements used here is admirable, although there are clearly more innovative characters in this series, as comparable astronauts have appeared before. In the tool, you’ll be able to select different heads, headwear, torsos, legs, and accessories for your custom Minifig. For the torso, you can go really deep on customization by applying decals and custom text. (Lego will be moderating the designs to prevent users from making inappropriate Minifigs, according to Jay’s Brick Blog.) There are some fun accessories you can pick from, too, like a laptop, a pretzel, and a pizza. Completed Minifigs will cost $11.99, though you can only buy one per household.

We take the LEGO® brand to the next level by being the first to offer LEGO® resale store franchises! In our years of experience, we have developed proven systems that make it easy for you to buy, sell and trade a wide selection of new and used bricks, minifigures and LEGO® accessories. I would like a classic spaceman in a new colour , but overall , this is one of my favorite cmf series . I think the modern incarnations of astronauts from older Space subthemes are realised well and those will doubtless be highlights for many fans. However, I am also very satisfied with the less obvious concepts, such as the Imposter and the Flying Saucer Costume Fan. In fact, there are no major weaknesses to the series, in my opinion, even though some characters are inevitable standouts.

LEGO Minifigure Factory goes live online

Get in touch if you want ten or more figures for a special event, meet-up or for your own collection. We've been fortunate to work with some great companies and charities in the past - no job is too big or too small! If you want to order ten or more personalised LEGO figures you can apply discounts at the checkout to save money on your order. When we first heard about this series all those months ago I was rather looking forward to it. It would be the first non-licensed series I'd bought the complete set of. Unfortunately, when we saw the first leaked images it was not what I was expecting.

Today’s rollout of the Minifigure Factory site also complements the other customization experience we saw earlier in the year from the LEGO Group. Back in April the popular in-store Build a Minifigure service launched as a beta, and is now joined by today’s addition for another way to craft some custom figs. Pricing is something that is unlikely to change once it hits the final release, with each LEGO Minifigure Factory custom figure going for $11.99.

Reimagining the constellation in minifigure form is another inventive concept and has enabled the graphic designers to make maximum use of trans-purple glitter pieces for the head, arms and legs. Turning the head around reveals a diminutive alien inside, piloting the minifigure like a mech! Two more aliens are supplied as well, each featuring one eye and represented by lime green nanofigures. These printed nanofigures are exactly the same size as the printed alien, so you can imagine them clambering into the mech to join their colleague. LEGO has produced a number of modern astronaut minifigures, including a prior Collectable Minifigure from series fifteen. The new Spacewalking Astronaut matches its surface-bound precursor, so the torso decoration is similar, with a little Classic Space emblem and relatively realistic detail on the chest pack.

The only disappointment I have is the lack of a trans-lime green visor, but the printed heads-up display is a good compromise, as trans-lime green has been retired. Space-themed Collectable Minifigures offer a perfect opportunity to revisit some older Space subthemes and the M-Tron Powerlifter represents one of the most memorable such ranges. Despite comprising only nine sets over two years, M-Tron is beloved for its distinctive colour scheme and use of magnets, which had been limited to trains before 1990. Additionally, the teal fedora looks excellent, returning from the Film Noir Detective, but making its first appearance in this colour. The alien's large eyes are perfect too, inspired by the classic Grey often featured in science fiction and already portrayed as a minifigure in the sixth series of Collectable Minifigures, over a decade ago. I hope this piece sees continued use in future Space sets because it looks excellent, without being needlessly specialised.

This design works incredibly well and the metallic silver saucer element features great texture on its underside. I was thinking skip these minifigures although I am a great fan of space theme. Only one kneepad is needed, as the minifigure's other leg has transformed into an alien claw, using the same piece as the Beetlezoid above. Moreover, this figure features two arms on the right side, while a section of the face has mutated as well. The result looks brilliantly gruesome, although you cannot easily revert the minifigure to a conventional Blacktron II astronaut. Orion is one of the most recognisable constellations in the Northern Hemisphere sky, named after the Greek mythological figure.

You keep the bucket, and it includes a coupon for a free LEGO minifigure from our Minifig Maker table. Rebuild with thousands of LEGO® pieces to choose from, ensuring you’ll have those childhood LEGO® sets rebuilt in no time. Alongside just being able to select from all of the LEGO-made shirt designs, you’ll also be able to add some extra customizations to your figure. However, I suspect the accessories will be the primary draw for many people, as this android looks after an exclusive Spacebaby! These adorable additions to LEGO Space first appeared last year, in Collectable Minifigures Series 24, although the pink version presented here is new, matching Lenny from Benny's Space Squad. Some LEGO® sets contain small parts that are NOT suitable for, and may pose a hazard to, children under 3 years of age.

design your own lego minifigure

Lego is testing a new online Minifigure maker, the Minifigure Factory, that lets you create a Lego person of your very own (via Jay’s Brick Blog, which I promise has no relation to me). Hundreds of different designs and parts to choose from to make the perfect character. For commercial branded minifigure enquiries please contact [email protected]. We're working on a re-design of many of our figures and will be reopening the checkout to new orders shortly.

I was able to get the codes to scan, but there was no database connected to them. I used a text list of the codes to cherry pick what should be every human suit, alien tourist, UFO, and Space Baby, plus some of the bugs and Orions. This is the first time I can recall having found so many before seeing a review posted. Despite its enormous potential, I was sceptical when rumours of Collectable Minifigures Series 26 - Space began to circulate. After all, there have already been various space-oriented Collectable Minifigures, so I questioned whether a dedicated series was necessary. Fortunately, the designers have come up with some exceptional ideas, so the range feels innovative.

The corrugated shape gives the impression of flexibility and I like the cylindrical wheels on the feet, even though they are static. The butler is equipped with a whisk and a saucepan, containing something in the process of being whipped. Come into the store wearing your costume between now and October 31 and take 10% off your LEGO® purchase!

Like most families of that era, Hart built a single room as his initial home. This room, now called the Keeper’s Room, was used by the young family as a parlor, kitchen, and even bedroom on cold winter nights. The replica of the original Keeper’s Room is one of the most popular dining rooms at the house. The menu for 1640 Hart House may have changed since the last user update. Los Angeles Subdivision Homes and Houses for Sale & Rent

Thomas Hart died himself during the winter of 1673 or 1674 with a mystery surrounding the whereabouts of his remains. Some old-timers claim it was too cold to bury Hart outside that time of year and so he was buried in a tiny cellar a few feet below the living room. It is in this dirt and slate cellar that Mr. Hart supposedly remains — waiting for the frost to finally thaw. The 1640 Hart House was built in Ipswich, Massachusetts only twenty years after the arrival of the Pilgrims.

The Tavern of the Hart House includes three flat-screen televisions, wingback chairs, seating for traditional dining, as well as an array of bar seating. Colonial windows run along the eastern side of the room and the high ceiling is off-set by heavy wooden beams. It is the ideal room for watching the game, candle lit dinners by the fireplace, or enjoying cocktails and a light Tavern menu at the bar.

Solo dining,

The house, originally one room, was the home of a local tanner named Thomas Hart who became the town’s first selectman. As one of the oldest homes in the country, the house is well-known for serving some of the first steins of ale in the nation during the late eighteen or early nineteenth centuries. Featuring five distinct levels and staircases, 363-year-old fireplaces, and wall panels with Colonial hand-painted tea boxes illustrate why the house remains a prime example of early American Architecture.

However, it was not until the Hart House was sold to noted antique dealer Ralph W. Burnham in 1902 that the home made the official transition to become an inn and tavern. In due course, Burnham took on new interests to further his antique trade and sold the home to Martha Lucy Murray in 1911. Murray ultimately gave into pressure from the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Winterthur Museum to sell the original rooms of the house. In 1936 the rooms were dismantled and brought to New York and Delaware and replicas were built in their place.

Look for the original tea box panels, from pre-revolutionary years that still adorn the walls today. This room was first in New England to tap a keg for public consumption. The home remained in the Hart family until circa 1755 when it was sold to Philip Lord. The Lord family had the rare distinction of sending five sons, the youngest being fourteen, to the battle of Bunker Hill. Philip Lord died in 1816 and willed the house to his daughter Sarah Lord Kimball, who in turn willed it to her son Isaac. Several additions were built during the Lord-Kimball possession and some say this was the time when the house became a stopping ground for locals in search of ale.

Ipswich town records first listed Thomas Hart in 1637 at the age of 28 soon after he arrived from England with his parents, Isaac and Elizabeth. Although the Hart family enjoyed ever-increasing privilege when Thomas was elected a selectman, the family endured its share of scandal. There she remained for six months until Thomas presented a petition attesting to the lack of overt signs of witchcraft.

selling my house for cash

Some potential advantages include a faster sale process, avoiding the complexities of financing and appraisals, and receiving the full payment upfront without delays. However, it’s important to carefully consider the offered price, research the reputation of cash buyers or companies, and evaluate your long-term financial goals before making a decision. Consulting with a real estate professional recommended by HomeLight can help you assess whether selling for cash aligns with your situation. Simple Sale, a solution from HomeLight, is an online platform where sellers in California (and across the country) can request a cash offer for their home. Simple Sale has a network of cash buyers on its platform, and partner investors have a wide range of investment strategies, including fix-and-flip and buy-and-hold.

Popular We Buy Houses for Cash companies in Southern California

HomeLight provides you with a convenient, no-obligation all-cash offer to buy your home, on your timeline. This could stem from an increasing number of retail buyers choosing to make cash offers as a means of winning bidding wars. Flippers often embrace a home or situation that other buyers find unattractive. Buyers who can make all-cash offers are doing so to avoid higher mortgage rates.

Do cash buyers offer less?

selling my house for cash

As mentioned, a real estate agent can help list and market your home in multiple ways to get you the best all-cash offer possible. You don’t necessarily need a real estate agent to sell your home, but their knowledge and experience can make for a smoother transaction. If accepting an all-cash offer seems like a good financial investment for you as a home seller, the steps below will help you best understand how to sell your house for cash. If you’re feeling a little shaky about selling your home to a cash buyer, enlist the help of an experienced real estate agent or attorney who can provide guidance and direction. A cash buyer will wire the money or bring a cashier’s check to the closing.

What are the benefits of accepting a cash offer on a house?

Consider using HomeLight’s Simple Sale platform to find reputable cash buyers in your area. HomeLight has built a nationwide network of hundreds of pre-approved real estate cash buyers and investors. We use your local neighborhood data and our extensive network to find the best offer for your home. But unless you sell to a cash buyer who plans on living in the home, Abdel says you could be giving up 10% to 15%. ATTOM Data Solutions reports that in Q3 of 2023, 72,543 single-family homes and condos were flipped, amounting to 7.2% of all home sales.

Who buys houses for cash?

Below you can hear about how Baohan Wu, a seller who used Simple Sale to sell his high-rise apartment, closed within three and a half weeks and what he thought of the process overall. However, while the convenience is appealing, it’s important to be aware of the trade-offs. The most significant downside is receiving less than the market value for your property. This could be crucial, especially if maximizing your sale price is a priority. SoCal Home Buyers specializes in acquiring various properties, from single-family fixer-uppers to turn-key multifamily homes.

Homeowners can submit their property details online or through a phone call. The company will assess the property, and if interested, make a cash offer. Upon accepting the offer, the sale can be completed in a matter of weeks, allowing homeowners to bypass the traditional selling process. Because We Buy Houses for Cash companies tend to focus on distressed homes, they typically have zero fees. In most cases, this means that the cash offer you receive is going to be the price you walk away with at the end of the deal. Of course, it’s always a good idea to flat-out ask the company if there are any hidden program fees that might impact your bottom line.

Your home is in impeccable condition

“The minimum return on investment varies depending on things like the market and the condition of the home, but typically we need at least a 10% return on a purchase to make it worth the risk,” says Van Soest. According to the company’s FAQ page, Opendoor typically buys homes in the range of $100,000 to $600,000, but in some cases will go up to $1.4 million depending on the market. Whether you want to move next week or stay put for a couple of months, a cash sale generally gives you plenty of wiggle room.

The Bankrate promise

For home sellers working with a financed buyer, you’ll need to factor in an additional 45 days on average to close a purchase loan, according to data from Ice Mortgage Technology. With California housing markets heating up again in favor of sellers, going with an agent could pay off big time. Before committing to a cash offer, take the time to vet the company thoroughly. This means checking online reviews, reading testimonials, and researching their market presence and past performance.

How Much Is My House Worth? A Home Value Guide

While price tends to take center stage, many other components of an offer should be considered before entering into a contract. If you’re thinking about selling your home to one of these businesses, you’ll start by contacting the company and providing some basic info about the home. Many companies will then schedule an in-person visit from a representative to assess the property, but some businesses do everything online. Addressing repairs before listing your home can prevent a potential deal breaker for a motivated buyer during the negotiation phase. According to HomeLight, selling a home as-is, with repairs necessary for move-in, tends to result in aggressive price negotiation or even withdrawal of offers. It wants to purchase your property at a discount and turn it for a profit.

However, rates are still hovering around 6.6% (as of late January 2024), making it challenging for some prospective buyers to qualify for a home loan. Lenders almost always require an appraisal to fund a property purchase, and this step has become more time-consuming since the pandemic due to a backlog of appraisal requests. An increasing number of people will sell their homes, make a significant amount of profit, and then put that money toward the purchase of their next home.

Real estate investors and house-flippers are more likely than traditional buyers to buy homes for cash. Companies like “iBuyers” also purchase homes for cash through online platforms. Don’t discount the possibility of a traditional buyer making you an all-cash offer, though. They might be able to afford it and simply want to make the investment in your property.

This includes gravel, stacked stone, and adobe-mud, just to name a few. You can also incorporate more contemporary materials such as concrete & brick pavers or steel accents to add a modernized touch to your hardscaping designs. Artificial lawn looks great and many modern options have a very realistic feel. It works great as a play area, somewhere to relax, or just for aesthetic reasons as you can have a big block of lush lawn amid your desert landscape. This type grows straight up in a cylinder which means you can have a perfectly sculpted and neat landscape. There are a few varieties, but some of them can grow to be fairly tall.

Ornamental Grass You Need

But adorable novelty string lights shaped like cacti, horses, or cowboy hats will make your garden more retro and fun. But using gravel or sand to make a winding creek bed will encourage visitors to explore the space and enjoy all of the great touches you’ve added to your landscape. Line your dry creek bed with rocks and petrified wood to define the path, or use succulents to create a living border. Use large planters to grow cacti along the perimeter to separate the space from the rest of your backyard and create a sense of privacy. Furnish the space with a bench, a few chairs, or a table set equipped with an umbrella so you can enjoy a tasty beverage in the shade on a hot summer afternoon.

Understand the Difference Between Cacti and Succulents

Designing a desert landscape is all about highlighting the incredible resilience and beauty of arid environments while keeping sustainability in mind. While it’s hard to create a lush green garden with your desert landscape, you can turn that to your advantage with some unique yard landscaping ideas. Having plants that are easy to control allows you to create your own patterns. These can be straight lines or you can opt for something a little more extravagant.

Desert landscapes are low-maintenance, which is a major perk, especially if you’re a homeowner who doesn’t have much time on their hands. If you want a backyard that’s easy to care for, but that’s just as colorful as a butterfly garden, then fill the space with desert-themed art and statuary. Ceramic lizards, painted metal suns, terracotta tortoise planters, and patterned donkey statues are just a few ideas to help you get started.

Although the Hart family enjoyed ever-increasing privilege when Thomas was elected a selectman, the family endured its share of scandal.
